What are the precautions for using differential pressure sensors?

With the development of sensor technology, the forms of liquid level sensors will become diverse and will further improve comprehensively in the future, while also developing towards miniaturization, intelligence, and multifunctionality. Below is an introduction on how to choose the sensitivity of liquid level sensors. If the temperature uniformity of the upper and lower layers of liquid is not considered, it can be assumed that the density is consistent, avoiding unnecessary losses that could affect the sensitivity of the sensor. The application and technical requirements of high-temperature and high-pressure liquid level sensors are suitable for continuous measurement of liquid levels in various high-pressure equipment and containers during industrial production processes, with a transmission output of 4-20mA DC standard signal, which can be directly used for electrical instruments and computer connections, as well as for automatic control, etc.
When using differential pressure sensors, there are some precautions to note, such as: the measured medium must not freeze, otherwise it will damage the sensor element isolation diaphragm, leading to damage to the transmitter. If necessary, temperature protection should be applied to the transmitter to prevent freezing; do not apply a voltage higher than 36V to the transmitter, as this will cause damage to the transmitter; when measuring steam or other high-temperature media, the temperature should not exceed the maximum operating temperature of the transmitter. If it exceeds the maximum operating temperature, a heat dissipation device must be used; when measuring steam or other high-temperature media, a heat dissipation pipe should be used to connect the transmitter and the pipeline, and the pressure in the pipeline should be transmitted to the transformer. When the measured medium is water vapor, an appropriate amount of water should be injected into the heat dissipation pipe to prevent overheating steam from directly contacting the transmitter, which could damage the sensor; do not touch the diaphragm with hard objects, as this may damage the isolation diaphragm.
Currently, the usage of standalone differential pressure sensors is not very high. Now, many pressure sensors can measure both absolute pressure and differential pressure, which makes it convenient for customers. I believe that in the future, there will be no standalone differential pressure sensors, as differential pressure sensors will be combined with absolute pressure sensors.
